The development required ecological surveys and support with planning conditions, alongside the design of a lighting scheme that balanced operational needs with ecological considerations.
HalpinRobbins carried out scoping assessments and Extended Phase 1 Habitat Surveys across the site. The team worked with developers, planners and lighting designers to create a pragmatic lighting strategy, and supported the discharge of planning conditions. Ecological Clerk of Works services were also provided during construction.
The sites have been successfully developed and are now occupied by major commercial and retail operators, with ecological requirements integrated into the development process.
