The client was seeking to construct and operate a number of Solar Farms across England and Wales and instructed HalpinRobbins to advise on ecological constraints and opportunities within and around potential sites, undertake scoping ecological surveys and prepare and submit planning permission compliant surveys.
For those projects that went to planning and were successful, HalpinRobbins were instructed to supply information and documents relating to any requested ecological planning condition.
For all sites the initial site assessment was undertaken in accordance Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management (CIEEM) Guidelines for Preliminary Ecological Appraisal focusing on plant communities, habitats and United Kingdom and European protected and invasive species.
From the gathered information, the client was advised about each sites ecological constraints and opportunities and requirements for further detailed survey works to meet the requirements of a planning application submission.
If you wish to find out more about permitting, ecology services or to discuss a project or development please contact us directly for a free, non-committal discussion.
"Nothing is too much trouble and the two way communication is second to none. I would not hesitate to recommend HalpinRobbins to anyone and we wouldn’t even contemplate going anywhere else."
