HalpinRobbins Adam Robbins

Mr Adam Robbins (Director)

MSc, BSc (Hons), MCIEEM


Adam Robbins is a qualified environmental scientist with over 25 years' experience of ecological and environmental management, and is a specialist in Environmental and Ecological Impact Assessment.
Adam has worked both in the United Kingdom and overseas and has extensive experience in ecology, wastes, renewable energy and water for private, commercial and industrial clients providing environmental architecture and ground skills in terms of environmental impact, biodiversity, planning, scientific knowledge, waste and resource assessment, technology application and environmental and ecological law.
His expertise include ecological survey design and execution, environmental impact assessment, planning strategy and applications, statistical analysis of complex and spatial data sets, flora and fauna surveys, habitat creation and management, aquaculture and algal and microbial biology.
As part of his work for HalpinRobbins he lectures on a variety of topics from apiculture to the beneficial use of waste for ecology.

Halpin Robbins Anne Halpin

Dr Anne Halpin (Director)

BSc (Hons), MCIEEM


Anne Halpin is a qualified ecologist with over 15 years' experience, and specialist in hoverfly ecology.
Anne is a Doctor of ecological entomology and professional ecologist with extensive experience including conservation land management, species monitoring and conservation, habitat monitoring, water level management for wildlife, geographical information systems (GIS) and data management.
With over fifteen years’ experience her expertise include working with conservation and ecological management organisations on projects covering land and water management in Sites of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI), RAMSAR , Special Protection Areas (SPA), Local Nature Reserves (LNR) and the wider countryside.


Bethan Withey

Bethan Withey (Ecologist)

MSc, BSc (Hons), ACIEEM


Bethan has recently joined the HalpinRobbins team bringing with her impressive career highlights during her professional experience within Ecology. Bethan has an MSc in Conservation and Biodiversity and is an associate member of the Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management (CIEEM), she is committed to ensuring the highest professional standards are met and maintained in the work that she and her colleagues undertake. Bethan holds protected species licence for bats (England and Wales and Scotland), dormouse and great crested newt.
Bethan has gained considerable experience working in both the public and private sectors at a senior level. Projects include major infrastructure, road and rail projects of a complex nature as well as smaller projects on a more local level.
Bethan is also experienced in undertaking mitigation licences for protected species for both bat and dormouse. Bethan brings to her role considerable technical skills which include GIS and Bat sound Analysis.
Bethan is passionate about wildlife and the environment. She is an experienced bat career having successfully rehabilitated and released bats for many years for the BCT. Bethan can usually be found out exploring her natural environment with her rescue Staffie Poppy at her side. Bethan is also fluent in Welsh.

Carrie White

Carrie White (Ecologist)

BSc (Hons), ACIEEM


Carrie is a highly proficient ecologist with a detailed knowledge of project management and field survey techniques. Carrie has a BSc in Ecology and Biogeography and an additional degree in Countryside Management giving her a unique insight into how to manage projects for the benefit of the client and ecosystem as well as understanding the suitable land management practices for the project. An associate member of the Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management (CIEEM), she is committed to ensuring the highest professional standards are met and maintained in the work that she and her colleagues undertake. Carrie holds protected species licence for bats, dormouse and great crested newt.
Carrie has worked in multiple sectors including defence, agriculture, industry, health and residential with projects ranging from domestic extensions through to land management of solar parks .
Carrie is experienced in undertaking mitigation licences for protected species for bats, dormouse and badgers and is a safe pair of hands for even the most complicated of projects.

Sophia Priddle

Sophia Priddle (Ecologist)

PgCert(Oxon), AfCIEEM


Sophia Joined HalpinRobbins in 2019 following a period of 12 years working as a consultant ecologist for Blackdown Environmental where she worked with an impressive portfolio of clients.
Sophia has over 15 years of experience working in environmental management and ecology. Sophia has a track record of delivering pragmatic ecological solutions to clients from a variety of industry sectors including; rail, highways and large infrastructure projects. Sophia holds Natural England survey licences for bat species (CL18 level 2), great crested newts (CL08) and Dormice (CL10a).
Sophia is responsible for supervising completion of ecological surveys for species including bats, badgers, reptiles, dormice, mitigation works and associated report writing to accompany planning applications and mitigation licences.
Sophia has enjoyed being a bat carer for the Bat Conservation Trust (BCT) for a number of years rehabilitating and releasing bats. Sophia also enjoys working with local groups and schools in educational engagement projects. Outside of work Sophia is mostly at home with her husband and two daughters on their farm where she has a passion for conservation farming, rearing pedigree Dexter beef and riding her horse Tia.

Sarah Lashly

Sarah Lashly (Ecologist)


Sarah Joined HalpinRobbins in 2019 following a period of 6 years working as a consultant ecologist for Blackdown Environmental delivering projects across domestic, industrial and infrastructure sectors.
Sarah has over 5 years of professional experience working in ecology and environmental management with many more as a passionate volunteer. Sarah has a background in project management, administration, geographical information systems (GIS) and data management which she uses to deliver high quality work with faultless audit trails.
Sarah has experience in carrying out notable and protected species surveys for many plants and animals including bats, dormice, reptiles and badgers and is our lead QA.

Louise Godfrey (Accounts and Office Manager)


Louise joined HalpinRobbins in 2020 after completing her Law with Accounting and Finance degree with a first.
Having worked and volunteered in the environmental sector, both before and during her degree course, Louise has a unique understanding of the work HalpinRobbins undertake as well as looking after the day to day running of HalpinRobbins HQ.
Outside of work Louise is usually found enjoying the countryside as part of a casual walking or training for her next ultramarathon.
