MSc, BSc (Hons), MCIEEM
Adam Robbins is a qualified environmental scientist with over 25 years' experience of ecological and environmental management and is a specialist in Environmental and Ecological Impact Assessment.
Adam has worked both in the United Kingdom and overseas and has extensive experience in ecology, wastes, renewable energy and water for private, commercial and industrial clients providing environmental architecture and ground skills in terms of environmental impact, biodiversity, planning, scientific knowledge, waste and resource assessment, technology application and environmental and ecological law.
His expertise includes ecological survey design and execution, environmental impact assessment, planning strategy and applications, statistical analysis of complex and spatial data sets, flora and fauna surveys, habitat creation and management, aquaculture and algal and microbial biology.
As part of his work for HalpinRobbins he lectures on a variety of topics from apiculture to the beneficial use of waste for ecology.

Anne Halpin is a qualified ecologist with over 15 years' experience, and specialist in hoverfly ecology.
Anne is a Doctor of ecological entomology and professional ecologist with extensive experience including conservation land management, species monitoring and conservation, habitat monitoring, water level management for wildlife, geographical information systems (GIS) and data management.
With over fifteen years’ experience her expertise include working with conservation and ecological management organisations on projects covering land and water management in Sites of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI), RAMSAR , Special Protection Areas (SPA), Local Nature Reserves (LNR) and the wider countryside.

Gen graduated from the University of East Anglia with a BSc in Ecology with Hons and went on to gain an MSc with merit in Conservation and Biodiversity at Exeter University.
As a senior consultant within the commercial sector, she brings invaluable expertise to our team having worked across varying projects from householder extensions to road and rail infrastructure Gen has been responsible for overseeing and managing projects to ensure the best outcome for both wildlife and our clients while ensuring compliance in development.
Gen holds Natural England licenses for both bats and great crested newts and enjoys planning and the mitigation and long-term habitat improvements on sites. Gen has several years of experience in conducting River Condition Assessments and brings in experience working with riparian and seascape habitats both in the UK and abroad.
When she’s not working Gen enjoys tackling some pretty big DIY projects and property renovations and can be found paddleboarding around rivers and coastlines.

Carrie is a highly proficient ecologist with a detailed knowledge of project management and field survey techniques.
Carrie has a BSc in Ecology and Biogeography and an additional degree in Countryside Management giving her a unique insight into how to manage projects for the benefit of the client and ecosystem as well as understanding the suitable land management practices for the project. An associate member of the Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management (CIEEM), she is committed to ensuring the highest professional standards are met and maintained in the work that she and her colleagues undertake. Carrie holds protected species licence for bats, dormouse and great crested newt.
Carrie has worked in multiple sectors including defence, agriculture, industry, health and residential with projects ranging from domestic extensions through to land management of solar parks.
Carrie is experienced in undertaking mitigation licences for protected species for bats, dormouse and is a safe pair of hands for even the most complicated of projects.

Sophia Joined HalpinRobbins in 2019 following a period of 12 years working as a consultant ecologist for Blackdown Environmental where she worked with an impressive portfolio of clients.
Sophia has over 17 years of experience working in environmental management and ecology. Sophia has a track record of delivering pragmatic ecological solutions to clients from a variety of industry sectors including; rail, highways and large infrastructure projects. Sophia holds Natural England survey licences for bats, great crested newts and Dormice.
Sophia is responsible for supervising completion of ecological surveys for species including bats, badgers, reptiles, dormice, mitigation works and associated report writing to accompany planning applications and mitigation licences.
Sophia has enjoyed being a bat carer for the Bat Conservation Trust (BCT) for a number of years rehabilitating and releasing bats. Sophia also enjoys working with local groups and schools in educational engagement projects. Outside of work Sophia is mostly at home with her husband and two daughters on their farm where she has a passion for conservation farming, rearing pedigree Dexter beef and riding her horse Tia.

Sarah Joined HalpinRobbins in 2019 following a period of 6 years working as a consultant ecologist for a local company delivering projects across domestic, industrial and infrastructure sectors.
Sarah has over 10 years of professional experience working in ecology and environmental management with many more as a passionate volunteer. Sarah has a background in project management, administration, geographical information systems (GIS) and data management which she uses to deliver high quality work with faultless audit trails.
Sarah has experience in carrying out notable and protected species surveys for many plants and animals including bats, dormice, reptiles and badgers.

MSc, (MRes) BSc (Hons), CIEEM (Qualifying)
Miranda has a BSc with second class honours in Zoology (Marine and Fisheries Biology), MSc in Aquatic Resource Management and a (MRes) in Biology & Quality of Animal Production. Miranda has an impressive 20 years' experience working in the UK and Europe on diverse topics, including climate change, water quality and fish reproduction, within the public, private and charity sectors.
Miranda is a key member of staff, involved in the planning and executing of surveys for multiple protected species including bats, dormice and great crested newts. Miranda also assists with many other aspects of ecological duties from reporting and mapping to data analysis. Miranda is currently working towards her Level 1 bat and dormouse licenses.
Outside of working Miranda loves getting involved in local conservation projects with her son as well as keeping active, hiking, canoeing, running and looking after their cats, guinea pigs and freshwater tropical fish. .

Ben recently joined the HalpinRobbins Environmental department bringing with him a wealth of knowledge and expertise in scientific research. We’re excited to see the positive impact he’ll have on the environmental department and our clients moving forward.
Ben studied Zoology at the University of Exeter where he graduated with a 2:1 Honours degree in 2020. For the last three years, Ben has worked within the scientific sectors on projects within microbiology, science and research. The culmination of Ben’s degree and his scientific experience enables Ben to facilitate many applications within our environmental department and we’re really looking forward to getting Ben out and about supporting our clients across a wealth of environmental disciplines, finding innovative solutions to complex environmental challenges.
Outside of the office, Ben is passionate about wildlife and conservation and his commitment to this has taken him around the world volunteering on some truly fantastic conservation projects in India, Namibia and Europe. Ben has also been involved in supporting worthwhile causes back on home turf such as fundraising for the RNLI and as a scout leader working with children in his community. Ben is also a keen hockey player, who received his half-colours for outstanding commitment and contribution whilst playing at university.
